Aloof Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Aloof

Aloof
He kept aloof in that dizziness
He walked as a half-blind
Drowsy
And
Dizzy, this
Night of hanging rocks
And hooting caves
And screeching owl-waves entering.
And high waves in the cleft
The rock cleft
Sea-cleft
Screaming
Hideous
Whistling:
Aloof
He kept aloof in that dizziness
He walked as a half-blind
Drowsy
And
Dizzy.
