I started running too fast,
Leaving You behind.
Going about my life
Never having You in mind
Until I started to fall.
I called out Your name
Expecting You to ignore
Because of my shame.
But You were right beside me
Even when I tried to desert You
Tried not to notice You-
You had never left my side.
And now, with Your arms holding me tight,
I've no reason to doubt
When You say,
"My mercy is enough.
I love you still."
