Always, Always. Poem by Meredith Marie

Always, Always.

Always the listener
Never the teller
Letting thoughts, words emotions
stay inside.
Like a one way glass.
I see you, but you can't see me.
And no one takes the time to squint.
and i'm TIRED of it!
I'm sick of it!
I want people to see
what's bottled up inside of me!
Because my mouth won't open
And no hole to escape, I'm heating up.
Pressure building, Energy boiling.
I'll surely explode.
Because I love you and can't tell you.
Because I hate you and can't tell you.
Because i'm messed up and I can't tell you.
I need the help,
but i don't know how to ask.
And I need the love,
but i don't know how to let you in.

And it'll always
be that way.
And I'll always
dread my fate.
