Holdin on to the past
When the future calls my name
I’ll always be his baby girl
No time came make it change

But theres something different
About now and then
Something in the way he says
I love you

He said then
Like he would be here for forever
He says it now
Like it’s the last time

I know your going one day
But ill still be grownin
As your baby girl

I wont ever grow from the stage
Of a daughter
To a wife
And gone
Complety from your eyes

I may love him
But your in a place of my heart
He’ll never be
And that’s why you’re my daddy
And I will always be your baby.
