Always Low In The End Poem by Jennifer Peckins

Always Low In The End

Shaking as you wait
For someone to pull the trigger
Suddenly exploding
Becoming someone bigger
Convincing yourself
All this anger you can take it
Feeding your mind
All the lies that will break it
You look into the eyes
Staring back with deceitful hate
Shrinking you down to size
Until your life you contemplate
It looks so welcoming
A world away from it all
Finally getting that quick fix
Hoping you’ll never fall
The crash is what ends it
A one way trip to reality
Stuck in endless darkness
Punished with immortality
