Am I Breathing Poem by Troy Clark

Am I Breathing

Rating: 5.0

Numbered days ring so hollow
Broken is just broken
A temple is within us

Chemical born lifelessness
My curse, unbroken & dull
Break my haunted silence

My own self purity
Self revolutions
I have let those bridges
burn again and again

Don’t accept my rusted embrace
It will come around to harm you
My own self induced technis

Take hold my arms of sorrow
Listen to my words of panic
I can’t talk from stricken mouths

End this painful headache
My heart still beats your name
I’m just barely tearing
Am I alive or just breathing
