Am Sorry Poem by megan selepe

Am Sorry

Am Sorry...
Vibrant sound that finds her ears...
Am sorry, it won't happen again;
Am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you - His sorry confuses her because of her sensativity.

A well crafted, beautiful flora with a broad smile of Ubuntu - Botho, yet her pillow soaks at night. A vibrant sound finds her ears...
Am Sorry...

Her heart is empty, dry with no love or care - from that strong manly creature, with a vibrant sound that finds her ears...
Am Sorry...

Strong, the world needs her to be but his fearfulness shakes her strength. She seeks a different gentle sound but the same sound, so vibrant finds her ears...
Am Sorry...

She wears his apologies since she knows her place. She apologies for all the women he meet, she apologies for asking questions or voicing her view.... Am Sorry... Am Sorry... Am Sorry.

She apologies until she succeeds to cry herself to sleep - all because of that strong manly creature, with a vibrant sound that finds her ears...
Am Sorry...

She comforts herself with apologetic whispers; 'its just a phase, it will pass'; 'stay strong'; 'its going to be fine'; Yet she feels the same, that feeling captures her heart, soul and controls her emotions.

Am Sorry, she says so softly like the gentle wind on the winter's morning, cool and calm.
Am Sorry...

She says those words to keep peace; she says those words to heal her wounds and she says those words because she can only be sorry.

Her sorry blends with her tears leaving you with the walls of darkness, painted with sorrow. Your sorry brings her to the gates of lightness, with a key of a new start - enabling her to seek a different sound.

But she won't apologies for who she is... She knows dat she aint perfect but she's worth it - A beautiful, strong, smart, adventurious woman. Imbhokodo. Mosadi othwarang thipa kabu haleng.
