Amanda Poem by Rhonda E. Riddle

Amanda

Rating: 3.0

The joy of knowing,
The thrill of feeling you move,
Seeing for the first time...
Your porcelain face and button nose,
Chocolate eyes with strawberry hair, and
The smile to melt my heart.

Intelligent and vibrant,
Strong and bold,
Eager for knowledge,
Offering to share,
Kind and sweet, and
Wise beyond your years.

Proud,
Tears streaming down my face,
Quietly thanking God,
Missing your youth,
Anticipating your growth,
Loving you always and forever.

My daughter.
