Amazing Grace Poem by Blessing Kalamatila

The truth in His word is evident
the proof lays in what this pen Indites
am only Here to resurrect what was left of it
See!
despite our transgressions,
Grace equates to a fresh start.

We were nothing
but empty vessels,
day by day
Sin is what we wrestle
For when in the flesh
we loose the fight
blinded when in the midst of sin
forgetting that God is all seeing
you see!
even Sin behind closed doors
will only make you Hide in plain sight.

We were lost,
destined to burn;
we were as good as toast
In our imperfections
we chose to boast
yet still!
He loved us the most.

Grace remains the basis of our Identity
for we were nothing
but self absorbed entities
it brought us from behind
cuz we deserved the judgement
of the worst kind.

Grace!
our lucky card;
the only Hope beyond Death
cuz that too was dealt with 3 days
after His crucifixion
so when we fall into the abyss of sin
and Satan has you convinced
that there is no way out
choose the facts over His fiction.
