America Revive Poem by Gavin Anderson

America Revive

America, I weep for you,
My country and my home.
God shed His precious grace on thee;
How long then will you roam?

REFRAIN:
America, America,
Return to your first love.
Forsake the passing things of Earth
And turn your eyes above.

America, I plead with you,
Kneel now before your King;
Turn not from Him Who gave you birth;
To Him your homage bring.

America, I pray for you;
Your fields are long past white.
How long then will you listen not,
When darkens now the night?
