Americana Blue Poem by Julian Takali

Americana Blue

A lady of the sea
A sea of forever blue
Fastened to her hips
From end to end
A bottle of gin
And a thousand men

All of one and one of all
Lost in love
Lost in the deep Americana oceans
In the hands of the briny wave
Writing poems on her skin
In droplets of her dew within

Never blue enough, never
Never could those brown-eyed men
To the lady of the waters be
What is so far and away the sea
