It's a different kind of life
The way the Amish live
Giving up so many things
Perhaps they want to give
Give to God and follow His path
Appreciate what's at hand
They cherish what He offers
That comes off of the land
They plow their fields each year
With a horse-drawn plow
They raise pigs and chickens
We think we don't know how
But we could, don't you think?
Leave out our modern ways
Reap what God has given us
Go back to the olden days
Make our bread, grow vegetables
Instead of going to the store
God has given us the ability
To know what the land is for
Yes, the Amish way of life
Is truly exciting to me
A wonderful way to serve God
For He gives so generously!
