An Alaskan Moose Poem by Marilyn Lott

An Alaskan Moose

She was right alongside the road
So big it was hard to believe
We had not seen one so far
My husband started to grieve.

You see we were in Alaska now
So different when they were loose
Not in a zoo or a refuge either
Thrilled to see an Alaska Moose!

Massive in real life. Sends a shiver of fear up the spine to realize how small and defenseless we humans are. Buffaloes look like ordinary cattle in magazines, but they too are massive in real life. Travel can be quite an adventure as well as an education, can't it?
