An Aged Man's Poem Poem by Shalom Freedman

An Aged Man's Poem

An aged man’s poem
Need not rage;
Peace and quiet
Calm the page-

Courage in sickness
And through pain-
Loving kindness
For all who remain.

Words of comfort
For longtime friends -
Resignation
Before the end.

An aged’s man’s poem
Should hopefully be
Blessing and Trust
In Eternity-
