Born again
Having lived innumerable lives
This time a bit different
Balancing on two legs
A cranial evolutionary breakthrough
Arrival of a new animal
That did cross
The language threshold.

Absolute power in hand
A thinking conscious mind
Enormous possibilities in store
In total control of the world
Along with all life forms.

An amphibian of a special kind
Physical body's survival game
And conscious mind's
Selfishness to the core
Yet often on a flight
Touching the transpersonal
Destined to live multiple roles
An existential dilemma
A life full of conflicts
And creativity too
Constrained to keep balancing
Existential demands of the two.
