An Amputee’s Prayer Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

An Amputee’s Prayer

LORD send me the words to write tonight,
Send me the Muse to write,
Send me the thoughts to praise THY Name,
Today and every night.

Give me the Gift to extol THY NAME,
Make the World hear this Rhyme,
Let my Faith and Words be heard by All,
Now and every time.

Give me the strength to recover more,
With help from my Medical Team,
Wear a Prosthetic and learn to walk,
To not try, would certainly be mean.

Help me to recover more each day,
May my Faith continue to grow,
Daily praising YOU ~ hour by hour,
Let my progress not be slow.

YOU alone know what I shall achieve,
I cannot read YOUR Thoughts,
But I hope my Recovery shall be governed by YOU,
And my efforts will not be as nought.
