An Angel Poem by Abdul Wahab

An Angel

Rating: 4.5

On the way of my returning home from work
I have seen an angel on the side ways of the road
In the hours when the sun does not go to set
And the moon does not wake up from her sleep

What a scene it was like a wonderful dream
From the masses she appears with a smile
Eclipsing all the tiredness and the lethargy
Of the day that I got imprinted on my face

Her smile was like an overflowing cascade
Falls and drops around some pearls and gems
Upon the lands where hearts are being shattered
From pressure and weights of life's undue burden

Surely they are the lakes shining in her two eyes
With water still, calm and peace as she knows not
Worries, nor knows she any lie's sadness and grief
As she is a fairy, a fairy angel only of five or six

Her face is a face that symbolizes only pure and holy
Innocence is written on her body as we get tattoos
Yet very few have eyes to see and read them out
But mine I find so keen to fallow and so keen to trail
