Why, oh why do you never listen?
I told you this would be a mistake
Why, oh tell me why did this happen?
People like us arent concious of the chances we take
I guess a disaster is enough reason
For me to tell you how I feel
I guess a disaster sparks reason
To examine what stays real
I know that as long as I live
Ill listen to you
I KNOW that as long as Im breathing
Ill be here for you
So why dont you just listen to me?
Dont you think I understand you
Or have you lost your faith in me too?
Yes, Ill admit I had my doubts
Of your trust in me
In one ear and out the other
Wont you ever learn to see?
Throughout whatever you do
Or wherever you go
I could never hold this against you
You should know I love you too much to let go
As if I could let you go if I wanted
Give me a little credit
Because for how long Ive worried about you
Prayed for you, cried out for you..
You should give me what Im worth
