An Epiphany Poem by Double A P SS

An Epiphany

Rating: 5.0

My eyes are seeing what shouldn’t exist
They are telling me that it is real
M************ CGI
M************ weed
Has me twisted upside down
It’s all coming to me
Mushroom man
Has me laughing in a chair
It’s all so real
My eyes are seeing what shouldn’t be there
Pictures of childhood
And the poverty I lived through
How I threw a life away
To be sitting here, laughing in a chair
Talking to the mushroom man
Wondering if the pictures in the mirror,
Are CGI
Or a creation of the weed tangled in my brain
I should’ve been better than this
It’s all coming to me
An epiphany
