An Eternity Poem by joanna donne

An Eternity

The eternal clock will move, move on
One day we will all be gone, be gone.
Live in Carpe Diem they continue to say
I always seem to say maybe someday, someday.

One, two, three
More years of school and I’ll be free.
Four, five, six,
Years of med school with patients to fix
Seven, Eight, Nine
Years and I’ll be ready for that marriage sign
My love, don’t you hear my cry- will you ever be mine? !
