An Evening By The Seashore

Rating: 1.5

In the solitude of the wide span of breezy seashore
I stand watching the last glints of hope sink beneath hills.
The waves wash my feet with promising delight;
But at once move away with my heart in their crib.
The moment arises when all is lost and life still exists.
I see the Godforsaken corner of a murky cemetery,
The feel that shrinks even the mighty.
There a voice evokes terror so intense.
Says it with raised tone,
'Every man's an island with a hidden treasure.
He who crosses seven seas seeking it,
And tracks it down wins the price.
The one, which, in the name of God
Never leaves his ghost of memories'.
With a sudden jerk I blink;
There lies reality glaring before me.
The cool breeze sways across my ears;
The moon glides past the clouds with a floating smile;
The stars glitter merrily in the distant sky;
They bring me hope in all its glamour,
Like the fairy lights on a Christmas tree.
Night looks bewitching in her dark attire.
Flapping her glittery gown she dances admirably,
Inviting the secret gaze of our diurnal majesty.
The ballerina shies away from her graceful pirouette,
And moves out slowly from the big picture.
The world has come to being again;
Sun hasn't risen yet in the woods of my being.
The dark clouds remain crowded forever.
But I bid farewell to my lovely seashore,
Hoping to take in the smell of fresh earth,
That could bring out in me the light of glory.
