An Implication Poem by sammi ama

An Implication

by giving me
such backwards advice
it's easy to see

why you do not recognize
your biggest vice
for the weakness it is

your facade crafted to fit in
some suit of armor

an ego ignoring its id
widening the chink
it once hid so well

what you want
crawls out

your passive demands
instructing me

have my needs
dissolve, infuse
into the wants of others

satisfy myself
by dismissing my comfort

to provide for
a population
able to thrive
through individuality

i develop my core
with materials i found
on my own

you stand alone
waiting for rendered aid
to relieve you of rust
