An Ode To Jim Poem by Gail Grierson

An Ode To Jim

I had a friend,
He passed away
I felt so all alone;
We never met
Or had the chance
For talking on the phone.

But he would email
Every day
A note, a joke or two,
And play in Vaults,
I met him there,
A gentleman, ‘tis true.

A kinder man
I never knew
I miss him every day;
His cheerful words
Would make me smile
And take my cares away.

I miss you, Jim,
But know that you
Are smiling from above,
So let me take
This chance to say,
Good-bye, with lots of love.
