An Unexpected December - Poem by Genese Lozada

I watched as the sun bid goodbye by my window
As stars sparkle with the moonlight by the darkness
I watched as my heart wander as I let you go
Nothing seems as valuable
As my eyes seem to begin another sparkle
Beneath those black lashes and the mask of which I have worn long
Have I seen another rainbow?
I have not expected it, though it is often expected as you wander
For my eyes and attention had been long of an old faded picture
But now I begin to hear music again
Beneath this warm clothes, much stronger than the hushing wind
Which I couldn't keep silent for an instant
For it is beneath the control of man
But what should I do?
I certainly cannot just let go
Though my heart badly wants you to know
That underneath this garment of mine
Is a beating full of sorrow
Of a lady searching for a rainbow
But I must admit that I couldn't exactly let you know
For you are much more that you might only raise your brow
So I must, I must bid goodbye to this emotions
And let this feelings not spring up and grow

Poet's Notes about The Poem

It was nothing but one of those days when I unexpectedly bumped into someone I didn't expect to come into my way.
