An Useless Christmas Poem by Andrea Bencardino

An Useless Christmas

I know the time is getting near
and im not much for the cheer
the pain of the past is stuck in my mind.
but I try to remember to respect the feelings of others
and try to be kind to the ones I love
but still I think about the ones I lost in the past
I want this to end really fast
I hate to shop or even go to the store
to me its just a sad chore
but I'll wear my mask once again
and won't shed a tear
they think Im happy, so I'll just hide my feelings and smile on cue.
for the sake of your joy.
