Analogy Of Self Poem by Irtika Kazi

Analogy Of Self

Rating: 4.5

I am as still as Water…
Granted that "still waters run deep",
I am purported to be stagnating..
Bitterness it is of my Life indeed.

What happens to the magnificent Water?
Whence a pebble in it is thrown;
The pebble produces creases and ripples
The Water makes it Unseeable, Unknown.

There's not a soul to fathom the Depth..
None to devotedly love the crashing waves;
Yet, the waves love intensely its Object of devotion
Verily, returning to the seashore instead.

I avow to be a piece of Water,
As true-blue as it is known to be
Trailing one Path, bringing culture to flesh and blood;
O' what peace it gives to be on the Loose; At Liberty.
