Anchor Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Anchor

Anchor

Her work is five to nine
As anchor; only talks
And breaks the wave bands.

In times tells her secret
In times tongue reveals them!

Now at home
Child watches the TV
-frowning
Her husband complains:
-have you left a secret?
-what was that of our bed?
-you made me embarrassed!

Broken she is now
-no trace of laughter
-that she had at her job!

Later on at dinner
She broke the bread:
-this comes home by mistakes
-that I have committed
-forgiveness I deserve
- I meant good for us all
-words slipped without mind
-that happens to one who
-speaks and spits words
-millions; everyday!

Child was hard to convince
-kids know us A to Z
-make faces; laugh at me!

The husband
-forgiven already
-as father came between:
-it is of jealousy!
-they have no talent so…
Child smiled
-but still in his heart? ? ?
