And Know That Life's Okay Poem by A. P. Hancock

And Know That Life's Okay

Let's spend this fine fresh springtime day, along the riverwalk
We'll bring a basket full of treats, we'll sing and dance and talk

We'll watch the boats and ships sail by, we'll see the bluebill fish
We'll throw a coin down Dreamer's Well, and make ourselves a wish

We'll take the ferry far across, onto the other side
We'll stand out on the forward deck, and just enjoy the ride

We'll lay out on the levee green, and read a book or two
We'll rise from taking forty winks, and watch the people zoo

We'll look along the river bank, and find a driftwood piece
We'll walk the old McKenzie Pier, and feed the quacking geese

We'll end up at Guiffrita's Grill, and talk about our day
We'll laugh and smile and share a hug, and know that life's okay
