And The Soul Knocked My Door

Rating: 5.0

And the soul knocked my door,
At the break of the dawn.
Asking me to face
It's unbearable light.

"Kneel down to God,
And raise your hands to pray, "
It said as it stepped,
Into my inmost being.

Love resided in a corner,
But guilt accompaniedit.
Heart wanted to cry out,
But fear kept it silent.

The soul started to shiver
And raised it's voice so high:
"Why so much fear?
Why so much guilt?

Land on your knees,
And seek forgiveness from God,
Get your holy book,
And hear the words of God, "

Catching everyword,
My feet started walking,
I bowed down and cried,
In front of my lord.
And I found what I had lost,
In the way of ALLAH,
