And The World Passed By Poem by Lindsay King

And The World Passed By

old flames die hard
my lighter in my hand
wasted paper on the floor
i can see it all again
you and me
and the world passed by
6 months later
and i'm no more the better
still hanging onto
the rope of truth
wrapping itself
around my neck
take in the last breath
before you take me away
you and me
and the world passed by
6 months later
and you're still the same
dancing alone
in the comfort
of your lonely room
computer igniting everything
