And Their Gone Poem by Emily Straka

And Their Gone

Rating: 4.8

I wish you could know what I can't bear to tell you,
I wish you could understand the truth of my side.
I wish you could know all my nightmares, so frightening,
I wish you could see the sin that I caused.

You wish you could know what caused me to do this,
you wish you could know of the ghost of my past.
You wish you could reason why they all say what they do,
you wish you could know of the danger within me.

I wish you could see I don't want you to know how I feel.
I'm glad you can't see that I'm dying inside.
When everyone thinks they know the truth, they won't.
And I'll refuse to vocalize why you're really gone.
