Can'T Look Myself In The Eyes Poem by Emily Straka

Can'T Look Myself In The Eyes

Rating: 4.9

I have a secret desire of which no one needs to know.
This unmentionable want that has me aching so.
An unfathomable need for silence,
no matter how deffening.
A need like no other
to be anyone but me.

For I have done the unimaginable
in betraying my own blood.
I have done the unthinkable,
in telling everyone the truth.

But no one knows my pain.
I won't tell them what is true.
No one needs to know the suffering
that everyday I go through.
I think it's none of their buisness,
for this is some of my only truth.

So I'll hide my pain forever,
if that's what I have to do.
If I do the impossible
and live forever.
Still no one will know the truth.
