Angel Hair Poem by JJ Evendon

Angel Hair

I see an angel asleep
high up in the blue sky
laid on a mattress of soft white clouds

Her hair -
soft -
almost translucent -
dangles like strands of combed crystal
turning sun's rays
into a kaleidoscope of rainbow light
that unify sky with earth.

Born ofthe elements:
earth -
water -
wind -
and fire.
An embodiment of heaven.

As she wakes,
she melts away
with the clouds
into the blueness of the sky.
The landscape -
now bathed in her light -
miraculously changes
from colourless winter -
to spring blossom.

I watch in awe
natures transformation,
for it is a virtue held only by an angel.
