Angel, Please Don'T Go Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Angel, Please Don'T Go

Rating: 5.0

You say, he took your heart away
Took all your love, and thew it away
You say you gave him all your love
in the most special way
and he played you and tossed your love away

Some men, don't know what they've got
They tell a girl lies until they reach the spot
then they say of love...Sorry, I forgot
and they leave you broken hearted, all your love for naught
They never loved you, just put you on the spot

You're a sweet little Angel, girl I see it's true
You were innocent and full of love inside of you
And it hurts me to see your heart broken in two
Becasue I used to have a heart like you
I know what you're you're going through

Let me tell you little darling
Life can be so cruel
can kick you to the curb
break you down and make you feel like a fool
But don't say you've given up on love, you're still a precious jewel

There aren't too many girls like you, you know
with hearts pure and souls white as snow
If I had a woman like you I'd never hurt you or let you go
I'd nurture our love and let it blossom and grow
Your smile would return, I know it would show

I used to dream of a girl just like you
Dream I'd meet a sweet angel to see me through
But they all turned out to be untrue
Lately I've been feeling lost, not knowing what to do
until I saw you crying and stopped to comfort you

Now I feel so insecure
Knowing I'm in the presence of someone honest and pure
And all you can remind is the part in me that's kind
Your spirit I have searched for but could never find
Angel, please don't go. Don't leave me behind
