That was me
Couldn’t you see
That my life was just a lie
I stood in corners
Cried in secret and wanted to die

Tears of angels sing with me
Walk me through this misty day
Hold my hand and lead me on
Take me to the light

Surviving as this empty shell
Holding onto this invisible hope
Screaming, but not being heard
Watching people with no trust
Would someone see the real me

Reaching out, but I only touch darkness
My heart shatters
Why did this happen to me

I’m so tired of running away
I want to stand up and say…
Not gonna cry
I’m gonna be strong
And fight my way through

Tears of angels no need to sing with me
I am not alone
God is here to heal my broken heart
There will no longer be tears
