Anger Poem by Shenise Ashmeade

Anger

Slowly building,
Stack upon stack,
Row upon row,
Climbing so high,
Expanding so wide,
Growing and growing.
Trying so hard,
To contain the emotion,
You’re feeling inside.
Concentration is hard,
Mind is getting cloudy,
More support is needed,
To contain this hate,
But you are running low,
Slowly it begins to crumble.
One brick,
Then another,
It’s getting harder,
And harder to hide,
This depressing feeling,
One day the building collapses.
Many are lost
But all that remains is
…ANGER!
