Anger And Hate Poem by Francis Duggan

Anger And Hate

Anger and hatred they do not mix well
And of them no happy stories for to tell
People because of them serve years of prison time
As they lead to horrible injuries and murder and many a serious crime
Anger and hate are poison in the mind
And people who have them cannot be compassionate and kind
They are the destruction of empathy a beautiful thing
And any joy to their host mind they never does bring
In the mind they are in beauty cannot reside
Since love and happiness by them is destroyed
In the mind they turn off the switch of the inner glow
Where they does reside love cannot grow
Anger and hate are not pleasant with for to live
As they remove from the mind the power to forget and forgive.
