Angie Poem by Francis Duggan

Angie

Gone from the old town a beloved face
And none it does seem for to take Angie's place
For she was a very good person indeed
Always willing to help one of helping in need
In her early twenties in a motor car accident she lost her only child Ann
And five years ago she grieved for her beloved husband Stan
And Angie in her early sixties was buried today
Of cancer she died and free of pain she now lay
Such a kind and compassionate human being so full of good energy
And her in the flesh we will never more see
And this seems a sad thing for to have to say
And to realize life ended for her in a slow painful way
There has to be a heaven for her kind one has to believe
And all who knew angie her passing does grieve.
