Anonymous Call Poem by Ray Springer

Anonymous Call

the steamy tears ache to overrun their banks
i dare not release them for giving into the enemy
what else am i to do to get away from it all
i soar to the sky and can still hear it taunting music
i go deep with in the earth and can still feel it trying to devour me
its stifling i can't breathe; i need air; there's no air
someone help me i need to be free
free of the stench
free of the taste
free of the feeling
i have so much inside ready to explode and it grips my chest not letting go
it creeps into my bed at night and consumes my life force
it is forbidden for me to put it out of its misery
for what seems a simple task could become quite tedious to upkeep
but do i dare wish for such sweet sorrow
what my heart calls for is death
