Clipped Wings Poem by Ray Springer

Clipped Wings

You seem so sweet and sincere like u really do care
But for nothing would you become someone else, would that be fair?
Others seek out their own interest insistent on pains gone by
The methodology used is beyond caring put a price and they buy
For reason unknown the night ends and the day begins
For stories untold threaten the dreams of the weak and inexperienced
So simple does one fall into patterning relaying heavily upon unspoken feelings
Reluctantly falling into the web resisting less the more they fall into deep healing
What do they want from wings that have been clipped?
How can they fly with a pilot that because of fear panics?
The distant settings do not allow for such pleasantries
For bitter water tastes better in its own bed right next to nightmares and terrifying screams
