Anonymous Song Poem by Aman Saa

Anonymous Song

Let me find my way.

Without being a synonym

There must be name for my name

As I have roamed many a road

As I have floated inside the retina of many a heart

Beside me many vendors have sold my old pain

And children have walked away with their delights

All the while I lay showcased with the same old night

In the palms of my dreams, still the same silent and infinite.

I walked all the circles and many times stumbled

over my own identity at different points

still there is no cage yet, not even of words

where the centre of love and life can be arrested.

Where the vastness of musical mysteries be opened.

This moment I left everything and this walk is long

You too are on your way

I am only looking for a nameless name

Let me be undefined, if you rest here.

We are friends of a moment

And this moment was born to disappear.

But we are companions beyond our shadows.

So when we are gone, opening the reins

of all these rules,

let them meet on an artful afternoon

or a drunk sunset

and collect the remnants of the recitation

of how we wrote and sang life.

An anonymous song just like the night
