He broke my heart
now its raining
try not to rub it in
You say 'I told you so'
you knew it long ago
You knew we had to go
I finally came around, back on solid ground
can't let this get me down
Yes I was burned but I'm calling it a lesson learned
My mistake was overturned, so its a lesson learned
My soul has returned so I'm calling it a lesson learned
Another lesson was learned
Falling down ain't falling down if you don't cry when you hit the floor
And it's called it past because I'm getting past and I ain't anything like I was before, you should see me now
it's from the heart and the statement 'Another lesson learned' has in itself a sense of healing. l enjoyed it
Yep, you made your point, but one could say it's a little repetitive. Ruth
Very good work. A poem that is well suited to being read aloud with lots of nice simple thoughts that express universally recognised ideas and a repeating chorus that can be recited with lots of passion.
Experience, the best Master, makes us learn many, many day in and day out!

Break up of relationship can be dismal. But, dear poet, that is not the end of the world. Think positive and move ahead. All the best…
