Another Lie To Win An Election Poem by Hebert Logerie

Another Lie To Win An Election

Rating: 5.0

Politicians are known to lie like a saw
They eat and swallow everything raw
Bad politicians are as naughty as sad magicians
Who behave like fishermen with great patience
They set up the traps, they waited and wait
Because one foolish fish will come to the net
Ignoring the dangers and the consequences
Of their naïveté for failing to use the divine senses.

Even bright people fall for deceits and incredible lies
One woman politician once claimed that many flies
Could be seen in Alaska during wintertime. I am not
Buying her assertion or lie. Maybe she sees me as a nut
But I notice that political candidates who are part-time
Politicians are worse. I fear once they reach their prime
These perpetrators will want to destroy the universe
Because lies kill and hurt all the time. And lie is a curse.
