Give it a rest, they say,
I don't want to hear your problem, they exclaim,
But sure, here's another piece on love
Not a safe love, more of one that made him feel marginalized
But it was intoxicating, and came from a very true place,
Right from the edge, right off the cliff
Anything shiny can cost, leading one straight into a mirage of their own creating,
Fooling themselves into believing that if they care beyond reason that will be all difference
Don't always work out so, it's better when it's all organic,
When the truth feels good and not exhausting
The guilt involved when one individual says yes while the other says no can be overwhelming,
As it goes vice versa
But that too is part of the price,
So it's best to shop delicately,
Though many wounds cannot be avoided,
So let's just view them as beauty marks and do our best to move on
