Remember when I held you
And told you, you were mine
It seems so long ago
In another place and time.
We said we'd stay together
Through the good times and the bad
We'd be there through the happy times
And show comfort through the sad.
We told each other we could never part
In fear that we might break each others heart.
But soon we realized the love had left us
And gone far away
We both tried to keep it but there was nothing
We could do or say.
So once our hearts have broken
And we've finished with a cry
We can look upon the paths we've traveled
And finally say goodbye.
One day I may look back and wish you still were mine
But that would only be going back to
'Another Place and Time.'
