I shut my door and put my head down
I sigh and I turn away
I wish someone would just understand
what I am trying to say

This has become all too confusing
Please don't mistake what I'm trying to tell you
It's just an emotion without words to explain
Sometimes I just need to not worry to make it through

I'm not sad and I'm not depressed
So forget the tears and all the rest
I'm just stressed I'll say it again and again
I'm sorry it's just that simple my friends

No reading into it, it's all right there
Please understand, and please take care
The sun is on the horizon, my door is closed
Night is setting, nothing to expose

Don't worry about me, that's what I need to do
You too, but that's the only way for it to end
Pretend that my problems are gone for a while
