God answers YES
At the right time
And with the purest intention
Many of hearts' joy in sublime
Fulfilling one's purpose with devotion

God answers YES BUT NOT NOW
Even if souls kneel and bow
He aspires a populace to wait
Trust in Him; He holds the fate

God answers NO
And the chosen ones may feel very low
But in the right place, His plan's made better
Deliberately misconstrued now but the upright will understand later

God always has an answer
To the sheer tenacity of every prayer
Never would he let us wander aimlessly
In the dark and narrow streets of the city

Lest, should we not walk out in temper
But praise Him with a spirit full of wonder
A yes or a no whatever the response may be
His love comes in serenity bestowed upon our every plea
