Anthem

There's a poem in the invasion of ants
that's happened since the record high day.

After 18 years staying out of the house,
that high has turned them explorers.

There are too many
and they're too alike
for any
to gain fame
anywhere but
perhaps where they're from,
where perhaps
something's gone wrong,
some short-circuiting
of their long song.
