Anti-Intellectualism Poem by Jackie Chou

Anti-Intellectualism

My love is no scholar, but better.
His voice has more cadence,
Than iambic pentameter.

Law school admission test answers,
Cannot compare to his common sense.
My love is no scholar, but better.

His ruddy skin is lovelier,
Than sunset on desert mountains,
Than iambic pentameter.

I have no desire to find another,
Who talks in complex sentences.
My love is no scholar, but better.

His beauty is high caliber.
He radiates a natural confidence.
My love is no scholar, but better,
Better than iambic pentameter.
