Anti-Solution Poem by Delwen Doyle

Anti-Solution

Rating: 4.8

This is my proclaimation
of 3rd worldly emancipation

The bodies of undiscovered
infinite knowledge
Too poor for highschool
& college
will RISE UP!

And take control
of their manifest destinies

Ebb the flow of their
stolen dollars & pennies

We are ready - to stand up
- to speak up

To form swarms
of justice geared bodies

A mass refution
of the constitution
installed by feared parties

Demolish the institutions
with universal revolutions

Hungry, and beaten
But not yet broken

We're finished with being spoken for.
This is not a metaphor.

Gas mask your babies
Swallow iodine pills
- Not just for cheap thrills

The hour nears
The day draws close
It's time we realize We are
What matters most.

Great poem...a rally cry really. The second stanza really pulled me in...wonderful analysis. A poem many people should read...thanks! -Michael

Strong, ironic and clear verses from a poet who loves civilization and life and calls for the time we realize who We are. This is the essence of his poem. I give a 9++ as a starting point, and thanks for sharing, Delwen Doyle. Go on with fresh ideas. Joseph Josephides Member of the International Society of Poets (ISP) Intern.Library of Poetry awarded
